In March of 2004, I bought a $40 music editing program and one month later the LP Samplified was born. As the clever pun of a title suggests, the album is built entirely on samples, loops and a bunch of other completely non-authentic elements. It's a fun little album that took the bare minimum of musical talent to create and requires the bare minimum of effort to enjoy. It wasn't until the fall of that same year that we decided to shoot a short film/music video of sorts for the record's opening track. And when sudden rains hit Austin, production delays pushed the completed project all the way into early 2005 when it finally premiered to the Austin Film Society.

Meant to be abstract, the short uses no dialogue to tell the all too common tale of losing touch with your inner child- with whatever made life fun. But also how easy it is to break free and re-capture (even if for a moment) the simpler joys.
