Saturday, October 13, 2007- five person teams from all over the nation
were up at the crack of dawn awaiting a list from apple.com. This list
would contain lines of dialogue, settings, camera techniques and a few
various other production elements that those teams would then have to
incorporate into a 3 minute film. Not only that, but these 3 minute
films would have to be produced and uploaded to Apple in under 24 hours.
Our team not only had a blast participating in The Insomnia Film Festival but we ended up producing something to be proud of. Melody is the tale of a man with a tune stuck in his head who, with the help of a stranger, sets out to find the source of the elusive song. Regardless of the outcome of the contest, we are planning a longer version of this short for a 2008 production start. |
